Our Practice Team

Colin Sale


Dr Sale completed his training in Guy's and St Thomas's hospital in London. After completing his training he moved to Norfolk and joined the practice in 1991 as a full time partner.

Dr Sale is the current GP trainer for the practice, and also a qualified GP appraiser.

Dr Sale is the Lead GP for Child Safeguarding, Information Governance and is the CQC Registered Manager.

Simon Morris

MB, ChB (Bristol 1995), MRCGP

Dr Morris trained at Bristol University from 1990 to 1995. He moved to Norfolk in 1995 and continued his training at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital. As part of his training he was a GP Registrar at Ludham and Stalham Green Surgeries from February to June 2000 and went on to join the surgery as a partner in 2002.

Dr Morris is the Lead for Prescribing, Finance and sits on the LMC (Local Medical Committee).

Elizabeth Christie

MB ChB (B'ham 2004)DCH, DRCOG, MRCGP

Dr Christie trained in Birmingham, returning to her home county of Norfolk to train as a GP in 2008. She undertook her final year of training at Ludham and Stalham Green Surgeries between August 2010 and August 2011.

Dr Christie joined the practice as a part time Partner in April 2012. 

Dr Christie is the Lead GP for Research, Integrated Care, Infection Control and is the practice's representative on the North Norfolk Clinical Commissioning Group.

Nicholas McCardel


Dr McCardel trained at the UEA, remaining in Norfolk to train as a GP in 2009. He is a full time GP Partner and can be seen at either of our surgeries.

Dr McCardel is the Lead GP for Adult Safeguarding, Demential and Learning Disabilities.


Practice Nurse

Emma joined the practice in 2014. Emma has been a qualified nurse since 2000, working as a Senior Sister in a hospital setting and as a Practice Nurse for the last 9 years. Working at both sites, Emma's duties include chronic disease management, wound care management, travel immunisations, family planning advice and healthy hearts.

Practice Nurse

Sue joined the practice in 2017 after relocating to Norfolk from Bedford. She has 14 years District Nursing experience and 2 years as a Practice Nurse prior to her move. Sue works across both sites and is competent in all aspects of practice nursing, including:   wound management, child immunisations, travel assessments and associated immunisations, venepuncture and disease management such as diabetic and healthy heart reviews.

Practice Nurse

Karen joined the practice in December 2017. She qualified as a nurse in 2002 and has spent 15 years working at the NNUH, 12 year of which on the Acute Medical Unit where Karen progressed to a nursing sister.  Karen works across both sites and is able to carry out many practice nursing duties, including diabetes reviews, wound care management, cervical screening and  healthy hearts.

Practice Nurse

Eileen joined the practice in 2009 having previously worked as Senior Sister in a busy Walk-In Centre. She has extensive experience as a District Nurse and has also worked in hospitals in care of the elderly, psychiatry and theatre. Eileen works at both sites, covering a wide range of nursing duties such as wound care management, travel and child immunisations, family planning advice and healthy hearts.


Nursing Assistant

Elise joined the practice in 2001 and works at Stalham Green Surgery as a nursing assistant and dispenser. Elise's clinics are held all day Monday, with morning clinics on a Wednesday and Friday. Appointments can be booked for blood tests, warfarin monitoring and dosing, blood pressure, new patient checks, suture removal, dressings, ECG's and seasonal and swine flu vaccinations (swine flu vaccinations are ususally done during pre-booked clinics only)


Nursing Assistant

Kerrie started with us as an Apprentice in 2009. Following work as a Receptionist she trained as a phlebotomist and then pregressed to health care. She holds clinics mainly at the Ludham site, including blood tests, warfarin monitoring, blood pressure, new patient checks and 24 hr ECG's.


Nursing Assistant

Susan joined the practice in January 2013, and she now works in the Office at Ludham Surgery and covers the HCA post whenever Kerrie is away or working in dispensary. Susan does blood tests, ECG's, BP checks, Flu jabs, warfarin monitoring and assists Doctors with minor operations.

Nursing Assistant

Anne joined the practice as a part time HCA (Monday & Tuesday) in 2018. She has had 40 years nursing and management experience working in mental health settings and elderly care. She holds clinics mainly at the Ludham site. Her duties include blood tests, warfarin monitoring, ECG's, blood pressure and new patient checks.
Laura Holder

Practice Manager

Laura joined the Practice in March 2013 having had a career in Operations Management. Laura works predominantly from our Ludham Surgrey and looks after the sites and staff of both surgeries. Laura is responsible for finance, H&S, information governance, complaints, HR, compliance & IT.

Angela Taverner
Office Manager

Angie joined the Surgery in April 2015. She organises and supervises the staff in both surgeries ensuring the level of cover and service provided is in line or above our patient expectations. She comes from a Management career in the retail industry having over 30 years in various managerial positions one of those being Customer Services which she held for over 11 years.  She is also a qualified Associate in CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personal Development).
Jennifer Liu
Clinical Data Manager

Jennifer works in the surgery at Ludham and is primarily responsible for ensuring that information held on the Practice systems is high-quality, reliable and accurate. Jennifer works closely with the Practice Manger and clinicians to help the surgery meet local and national NHS targets. Prior to joining the Practice in July 2015, Jennifer had a career in medical research.
